Barcamp Costa Rica is an unconference where content and agenda are created by the participants themselves, rather than predefined by organizers.
During the 2020 pandemic, the website became a critical platform to coordinate hundreds of attendees. Umbralis designed and built a Webflow site to support participation, clarity, and smooth organization in a fully digital context.
The website was designed and developed in Webflow as a central hub for the entire event, prioritizing clarity, accessibility, and ease of participation.
With hundreds of attendees contributing sessions and shaping the agenda, the site supported real-time updates, clear information flow, and a seamless experience for a diverse, distributed community.
The final design balanced flexibility with structure, allowing the event’s open, participant-driven nature to thrive without confusion or friction.
By focusing on user-centered design and clear visual hierarchy, the website enabled collaboration, reduced organizational overhead, and became a reliable digital foundation for the event during an uncertain moment.
